PROPANE
(dimethylmethane, propyl hydride, n-propane, H3CCH2CH3, propane liquefied, pure propane)Propane (dimethylmethane, propyl hydride, n-propane, H3CCH2CH3, propane liquefied, pure propane) is flammable, non-toxic gas is colorless and odorless, liquefied under pressure. Its self-ignition temperature (at a pressure 0,1MPa, 760mm.rt) is 467°C. Propane (dimethylmethane, propyl hydride, n-propane, H3CCH2CH3, propane liquefied, pure propane) is readily soluble in mineral oils, slightly soluble in water.
Propane (dimethylmethane, propyl hydride, n-propane, H3CCH2CH3, propane liquefied, pure propane) is used as an automotive fuel, as an auxiliary material for gas flame operations (gas welding, metal cutting, etc.), in heating appliances and systems, as foam agent, refrigerant, gas-displacer, as raw material in production of solvents and monomers for the synthesis of polypropylene. In the production and servicing of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, thanks to its thermodynamic properties and reduced energy consumption from 5% to 15%.
Propane (dimethylmethane, propyl hydride, n-propane, H3CCH2CH3, propane liquefied, pure propane) is packed in steel cylinders working under pressure. Filling (charging, pumping) factor not more than 0,46 kg on 1 dm3 of cylinder capacity. The product is stored in warehouse of the respective category, under a canopy or in open air avoiding direct sunlight. Propane (dimethylmethane, propyl hydride, n-propane, H3CCH2CH3, propane liquefied, pure propane) is transported by all types of carriage in compliance with hazardous goods rules.
