REFRIGERANT 125

(Pentafluoroethane, Freon 125a, R125, R-125a, HFC-125, SUVA 125, Halocarbon-125, FE-25)

Refrigerant 125 (Pentafluoroethane, Freon 125a, R125, R-125a, HFC-125, SUVA 125, Halocarbon-125, FE-25) is non-combustible gas liquefied under pressure, chlorine-free, fire-safe, non-toxic, thermally and chemically stable. In case of contact with open flame or hot surfaces, it decomposes, forming highly toxic products. It is a perspective-cooling agent for single-stage refrigerating units, a component for mixed cooling agents and an effective fire-fighting substance.

Refrigerant 125 (Pentafluoroethane, Freon 125a, R125, R-125a, HFC-125, SUVA 125, Halocarbon-125, FE-25) has a lower (as compared to R22 and R502) exhaust temperature and high mass flow at low suction pressures. Reciprocating refrigerating machines, operating on refrigerant 125 (Freon 125, R-125, R-125a), are characterized by optimal cylinder filling and, as a result, have higher volumetric efficiency.

The product possesses advanced fire-fighting characteristics and allows using it effectively in gas fire-extinguishing installations, and is widely used for protection of premises without permanent human presence. Alternative means of extinguishing gas – Halon-1211 and Halon-1301.

Refrigerant 125 (Pentafluoroethane, Freon 125a, R125, R-125a, HFC-125, SUVA 125, Halocarbon-125, FE-25) is packed in steel cylinders working under pressure, filling (charging, pumping) factor not more than 0,93kg on 1 dm3 of cylinder capacity, or in gas fire-extinguishing units (for transporting through pipes is required a gas-displacer).
The product is stored in warehouse, under a canopy or in open air avoiding direct sunlight.
All types of carriage in compliance with hazardous goods rules transport R125.
