Modern refrigeration and freezer units, as well as any complicated equipment subjected to a constant load in continuous operation, consisting of many different functional parts and movable elements, without proper ongoing maintenance can lead to failure. A full range of regular diagnostic testing and proper maintenance should include at least checking the temperature regime for compliance with the rule, the control pressure level of the refrigerant and the system for leaks, inspection of batteries, automation and replacement of seals that will allow to maintain performance at a high level and prolong the working capacity.

Along with technical breakdowns due to the savings of consumers on the timely maintenance, some enterprises use the climatic equipment manufactured 15 years ago or more, which obsolete, fully or partially not corresponding to its technical characteristics. Upgrading and rehabilitation of climatic test chambers typically includes replacement of worn and obsolete units (heat exchangers, compressors, condensers, controllers, mainlines); the repair or complete system replacement condensing refrigerant; temperature range extension; the installation of additional test modules (UV-radiation, IR-radiation, humidity, sprinkling system), through the use of modern materials, assemblies and electronic control models — leads to the fact that the updated camera is not inferior in its metrological and functional characteristics of domestic and foreign modern analogues.

One of the actual tasks facing consumers and organizations which are producing and operating the refrigeration equipment - is the forced or planned phased transition (change cooling agent, replacement, retrofit) on ozone-friendly refrigeration agents. Existing measures of such a transition (replacement, retrofit) to date are extensive both in terms of the optimal methods in the wide range of alternative refrigerants (freons, refrigerants), many of them of these measures of transfer (transition retrofit) even not imply of structural changes of the system, can be done fairly quickly by trained professionals. A list of some ozone-hazardous chlorofluorocarbon and alternative ozone-friendly substitutes:

  • Refrigerant 23 (R23) replace refrigerant 13 (R13);
  • Refrigerants 404a, 407c, 410 (R404a, R407c, R410) are replace refrigerant 22 (R22);
  • Refrigerants R134a, R124, R-152a, R409, R406a, R401, R600a are replace refrigerant 12 (R12).
